The Lynx series of helmets is a continuation of the Altyn helmets. The two are visually extremely similar, with the one visible difference being the thicker metal borders of the visors with visible screws (which was also present on the K6-3). The Lynx does have a radio, in contrast to the similar K6-3.
Lynx-T (Russian: Рысь-Т, Rys-T) is made out of titanium.
Lynx-A (Russian: Рысь-А, Rys-A) is made out of aluminum.
In popular cultureEdit
- The Lynx is featured in the video game Metro Last Light. It is worn by the Rangers of the Order and the Red Line factions.
- The Spetsnaz Helmet in the video game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds most closely resembles a Lynx-T helmet, though not an exact match and some parts of it resemble the K6-3 or Altyn. Its visor has a metallic border with visible screws. It also has two Push-To-Talk boxes on both sides, and lacks the microphone and the communication wire box at the back.
